Hello everyone! My name is Ineavelle Ruiz and I am attending Albright College in the Accelerated Degree Program. I am currently studying Organization Behavior and Applied Psychology.  It is my intention to discuss the ethics of business and the reasons why it is extremely important to follow ethical principles in various types of organizations. Being ethical requires doing what is right. However, it is extremely complicated and difficult to do what is right all of the time. Oftentimes we hear about an organization who has violated their policies and procedures.

Ethics in business involves the fair treatment of individuals regardless of age, sexual orientation, race or ethnicity, gender, and socio-economic status.  It also involves social responsibility. Do organizations implement fair hiring practices? Are employees treated equitably and humanely? How do organizations hold themselves accountable, or rather, how are they held accountable? What is considered ethical? Do businesses always follow ethical principles? What is an organization’s responsibility to their clients and the community?  Who is responsible for making sure that ethical dilemmas are handled appropriately?  Let’s try to find some answers to these questions…
